This allows children to focus on their mental well-being and understand how to keep their mind healthy. Alongside the PSHE scheme of work and MINDMATE lessons the children also have lessons on mindfulness. Each class has a mindfulness session after lunch to help with calm and ‘pressing pause’ in a busy day. Our four key stands are:
- Beeing in the moment
- The Breath of beeing
- The buzz of kindness
- Building a colony
The children work on these skills at other times of the day as well and children also report using the technique at home to help them to be calm and in the moment... so important in today's busy world.
