Friends of Churwell (PTA)
The inaugural meeting of the current Friends of Churwell Parent Teacher Association (PTA) was held during the Autumn/Winter term 2024. Since then, we have been meeting monthly throughout the 2024–25 academic year to build the structure of the PTA, establish key roles, and organise a programme of events and activities for the school community.
The Friends of Churwell Committee is made up of 16 dynamic, friendly and committed parent volunteers, representing all year groups at Churwell Primary Academy. Together, we work to enhance the educational experience, wellbeing, personal and social development of every pupil at the school.
Our PTA is led by the Admin Team:
- Co-Chair: Pip Parmar
- Co-Chair: Sam Lawton
- Secretary: Lucy Baxter
- Communications & Partnerships: Helen Robinson
- Treasurer: (Currently recruiting)
We are proud to support the school’s mission to create a happy, successful environment where every child is nurtured, challenged and celebrated. Our activities are shaped by the school's vision and values, aiming to strengthen relationships between the school, families and the wider community.
Through fundraising events, community partnerships and volunteer support, we help to provide additional facilities, experiences and opportunities that enrich the curriculum and promote the personal growth of all pupils.
We rely on the ideas, energy and goodwill of our volunteers to bring our plans to life – whether helping at an event, joining a working group, or simply sharing suggestions. All parents, carers and friends of the school are warmly welcome to get involved.
Joining Friends of Churwell is a fantastic way to:
- Support your child’s school experience
- Meet other families and build new friendships
- Contribute ideas that shape school events and initiatives
- Make a real difference to the lives of Churwell children
