Sticky Business D/T Workshop

The Sticky Business Workshop involved a group of 30 children, across KS2, in a one day programme designed to stimulate creativity, problem-solving team work and enterprise through a D/T challenge.

They were working outdoors to design and make products from small branches and sticks.

In the morning they played warm up games to help develop creative thinking and problem solving, they learnt how to tie simple knots and use tools safely and thought of stick based ideas for a product.

Below are pictures of the day - there are 65 to look at but they show the sequence of events really well.

In the afternoon they made their prototype product and then presented it and tried to market their idea in a 'Dragon's Den' style event.

The day was led by Annie Barrington - a Forest Schools practitioner and was supported by John Whitehead from Churwell Environmental Volunteers.

Thank you to Mrs Pollard and Mrs Hassall for helping to organise this event.
